This is a project I undertook a couple of years ago, I think it was between my first and second year of university during the summer. I learnt a great deal from this as it was my first real experience at creating a more or less complete game from scratch and one of my first true accomplishments as a beginner programmer.

Features:

  • Based on the rules of Tetris DS.
  • Level progression, with increasing speed.
  • Variable window sizes.
  • Multi-coloured tetris blocks.
  • Optional shadow-block hint.
  • Optional next-block hint.
  • Three options of background MIDI music (or none), speed of music increases rapidly based on the height of the blocks. NB. Midi music was somebody elses creation, not mine.
  • Sound effects when a line disappears and when the level increases.

Note: I’ve just been made aware that in Vista the left/right movement is faster than it should be.

Disclaimer: By running this software you are doing so at your own risk, I will not be held personally responsible for damage to files, hardware or anything else for that matter. To the best of my knowledge I have not written any code which poses a risk.
